27th Annual Hall of Fame Ceremony
October 15, 2005

At this annual event, the Jefferson Co. Historical Commission announces the winners of its History Writers' Awards, introduces the annual Hall of Fame honorees, celebrates this year's designated Historic Landmarks, and distributes the annual issue of Historically Jeffco magazine.


History Writers' Awards

First Place (adult): Lee Heideman,
Three Town Founders on the North Fork

Second Place (adult): Virginia Fasulo,
A Small Homestead

Second Place (youth): Alex Jorgenson,
Great Memories of Red Rocks

The Jefferson Co. Historical Commission invites writers of all ages to participate in its Writers' Award Contest. All topics must relate directly to the factual history of Jefferson County. Current and past issues of the Historically Jeffco magazine are available for $5 at the Department of Archives and Records Management, Jefferson Co. Courts and Administration Building (303.271.8447). The magazine is available free of charge to members of historical societies in Jefferson County.
